Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does customs clearance take at JNPT?
Routine consignments clear in 2–5 working days from vessel arrival. Consignments selected for examination, or involving licences and queries, can take 7–14 days. Pre-arrival BoE filing — which we do as standard — shortens this materially.
What is your CBLR licence number?
Our Customs Broker licence number is AAECB6279PCH001(11/1680), issued under the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018 and verifiable with the Mumbai Customs Commissionerate.
Can you clear shipments if my product needs a CDSCO or BIS licence?
Yes — compliance is our specialisation. We verify Compulsory Compliance Requirements before shipment and, where licences are missing, our Compliance Consulting team obtains them. Never ship regulated goods before the licence is in place.
Do you handle Direct Port Delivery (DPD)?
Yes. We manage DPD enrolment and clearances for eligible importers at JNPT, which significantly reduces dwell time and CFS charges.
Who pays the customs duty — you or us?
Duty is paid from your account, either directly via ICEGATE e-payment from your bank or through our duty advance arrangement for approved clients. Either way you receive the official duty receipts.
